Vienna is the capital of Austria and also its largest city. 1.6 million inhabitans live in this town full of royal history located on the Danube. Different kingships and dynastieslike the Habsburgers once ruled the city. Today Vienna comes to mind if you are talking about music. Johann Strauss (1804 – 1848), composer of the Radetzky March, was born here and Vienna’s famous boys choir, the Wiener Saengerknaben, are outstanding highlights in the many beautiful designed music halls and operas. The so called Museumsquartier offers the fine arts in all of their variations and it’s also a urban living space, where the Viennese can relax from everyday work. The old and famous theme park called the Prater, which is symbolized by its Giant Ferris Wheel, brings enjoyment. If you want to take a little rest, go in one of the many old fashioned coffee houses and try a delicious Sacher cake and a hot coffee.
